Our first attempt making potato chips using small red potatoes. The results? A little too much salt and oil, and the slices were too thin. Our second attempt with sweet potatoes was more successful.

What’s the cooking method, you ask? Microwaving!

And last night I splurged on this scrumptious meal {chirashi bowl with miso soup + salad} from Sushiyu, a Japanese restaurant next to the place Nam and his friend have been playing Magic: The Gathering at. The servers wore silk yukatas and even the take-out menu wasn’t cheaply done.
